Bitsy Friends are designed with children ages 3–6 in mind. That said, many families find them loved well beyond those years, especially by children who enjoy imaginative play, dollhouses, and storytelling.
- Are Bitsy Friends safe for young children?
Yes. Bitsy Friends are thoughtfully made for gentle play. As with all small toys, we recommend adult supervision for younger children, especially those under 3.

We recommend spot cleaning or gentle hand washing only. Use cool water and mild soap, then reshape and allow to air dry. These little friends are handmade and meant to be treated gently, just like any well-loved toy.
- Are Bitsy Friends collectible?
Very much so!
Bitsy Friends are released in small batches, and each character has their own story and personality. Many families enjoy collecting them over time and building out their own Bitsy world through play and stories.
- Will there be more Bitsy Friends?
Yes!
We’ll be slowly introducing new friends, each with their own story. We believe in growing this world thoughtfully and intentionally, adding new characters when the timing feels right, not all at once.
- Are Bitsy Friends the right size for dollhouses?
Yes! Bitsy Friends are made to work beautifully with 1:12 scale dollhouses and accessories. They fit naturally into dollhouse play, making it easy for stories to continue beyond the book.
- Do the dolls come with anything?
Each Bitsy Friend comes with a story card that introduces the character and invites imaginative play. Some characters may also have companion stories or special additions over time.
- What if my child plays differently than the story suggests?
That’s more than okay, in fact, it’s encouraged.
Bitsy Friends are designed for open-ended play. The stories are simply a starting point. Children are free to imagine, reinterpret, and create their own adventures in ways that feel meaningful to them.
- What if I’m not happy with my order?
We want you to feel good about welcoming a Bitsy Friend into your home.
If something isn’t right, please reach out within 14 days of receiving your order, and we’ll do our best to make it right.
- Are Bitsy Friends handmade?
Yes. We work closely with our production team and each Bitsy Friend is carefully made in small batches, with attention to detail and intention behind every piece.
- Are Bitsy Friends meant to be educational toys?
Bitsy Friends are not meant to feel like lessons or tools.
They’re designed to support learning naturally through play and stories, the same way children have always learned best. Any growth or understanding that comes from that is simply a beautiful bonus.
