About Bitsy Friends
Hi, I’m Nia, a former early childhood educator, lifelong maker, and mom of two girls who remind me every day just how powerful imaginative play can be.
After years of working with young children, I saw something that has stayed with me ever since: children don’t just play with toys, they use them to make sense of their world. Through storytelling, pretend play, and tiny adventures, they build confidence, solve problems, practice kindness, and express feelings they can’t always put into words.
When I became a mom, I watched that same magic unfold in my own home. Some of our sweetest memories weren’t made with expensive toys or elaborate plans, they started with a cardboard box, scraps from the recycling bin, a handful of craft supplies, and a few tiny dolls.
That’s why I created Bitsy Friends.
Our dolls are designed to be more than playthings. They’re tiny companions that invite children to imagine, create, and tell stories of their own. But the adventure doesn’t stop with the doll.
Every Bitsy Friend opens the door to a growing world of free printables, simple DIY projects, tutorials, and stories designed to inspire even more creative play. We believe imagination shouldn’t have a price tag, and that every family deserves opportunities to create meaningful memories together, no matter their budget.
