One of the sweetest surprises of sharing Bitsy Friends has been discovering just how many of you are following along from outside the United States.
When I started creating this little world, I truly didn’t know how far it would reach. Seeing messages asking, “Will Bitsy Friends ship to my country?” from families around the world has meant more to me than I can say.
So yes — Bitsy Friends are going international!
For our first launch, we’re intentionally starting with a select number of countries. As a very small business, I want to make sure I understand the shipping, customs, tax and product requirements for every destination we open rather than simply turning on worldwide shipping and hoping for the best.
Below you’ll find everything you need to know before bringing a Bitsy home.

🇨🇦 CANADA
Yes — Bitsy Friends ships to Canada!

Will I have to pay tariffs or duties?
This one deserves a little explanation!
Most Bitsy Friends dolls and our manufactured clothing/accessories are manufactured outside of the United States. Although your package is being shipped to you from our little business here in Texas, customs treatment can depend on the country of origin of the individual product, not simply the country the package was mailed from.
That means a Bitsy Friend manufactured in China and shipped from our Texas studio is still a Chinese-origin product for customs purposes.
Our handmade Bitsy pieces are different because they are made here in the United States. Depending on current Canadian rules and the individual product, these items may receive different customs treatment.
Canadian orders may also be assessed GST/HST, provincial taxes, duties, surtaxes or carrier/postal processing fees when entering Canada.
Because these charges are determined by Canadian customs and can depend on the products in your individual order, Bitsy Friends cannot guarantee the amount that may be due.
Any import taxes, duties, tariffs or customs/handling fees not collected at checkout are the responsibility of the customer.
🇬🇧 UNITED KINGDOM
Yes — Bitsy Friends will be shipping across the pond! 🇬🇧🤍
We have had so many UK friends following this journey, and I am incredibly excited that Bitsys will be making their way to you.
Shipping
Our current UK Standard Shipping rate is:
£22.95 flat-rate shipping

VAT
The UK handles VAT differently from many of our other international destinations.
For qualifying orders shipped directly from outside the UK with a consignment value of £135 or less, UK VAT is generally handled at the time of purchase.
For consignments valued over £135, normal UK import VAT and customs rules apply and charges may instead be collected as the package enters the UK.
Because the £135 threshold applies to the whole consignment, rather than each individual product, the treatment of a larger Bitsy order can be different from a smaller one.
Your checkout will show the charges Bitsy Friends is collecting from you.
Any import duties, taxes or carrier/customs fees that are not collected at checkout remain the responsibility of the customer.
🇦🇺 AUSTRALIA
Yes — we’re shipping Bitsys to Australia! 🇦🇺

$24.95 USD flat-rate shipping

International shipping will be available at checkout for Australian customers.
Australia has its own GST and import rules for goods purchased from overseas businesses. Depending on the value of an order and the applicable tax rules, GST or other import charges may apply.
If a tax, customs charge or carrier fee is not collected by Bitsy Friends during checkout, it is the customer’s responsibility.
Your available shipping option and price will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.
🇳🇿 NEW ZEALAND
Yes — New Zealand is on our Bitsy map! 🇳🇿
Shipping
Our current New Zealand Standard Shipping rate is:
$23.95 USD flat-rate shipping
Estimated delivery times will be shown at checkout. International delivery estimates do not include unexpected customs delays.
New Zealand applies GST rules to goods purchased from overseas sellers, including special rules for lower-value imported goods.
Whether GST is collected at checkout or assessed through the import process depends on the applicable New Zealand requirements and the order.
Any applicable tax, duty, customs or carrier charge that is not collected by Bitsy Friends at checkout is the responsibility of the recipient.
Your shipping cost will be displayed clearly at checkout before you place your order.
🇳🇱 NETHERLANDS
Yes — we’re shipping to the Netherlands! 🇳🇱🤍
Estimated delivery times will be shown at checkout. International delivery estimates do not include unexpected customs delays.
Because the Netherlands is part of the European Union, EU VAT and customs rules apply to Bitsy orders entering the country.
What should I expect?
Imported goods can be subject to:
• Dutch VAT
• Applicable EU customs duties
• Customs or carrier handling charges
Beginning July 1, 2026, the EU also introduced a temporary €3 customs duty per item on qualifying distance-sale imported goods in consignments valued at €150 or less.
Depending on how VAT is handled for your particular order, some charges may be collected during checkout while others may be assessed during import.
Any duties, taxes or customs/carrier charges not collected at checkout are the customer’s responsibility.
🇦🇹 AUSTRIA
Yes — Bitsy Friends will be shipping to Austria! 🇦🇹
Because Austria is part of the European Union, Bitsy orders are subject to EU import and VAT rules.
Customers should be prepared for possible:
• Austrian import VAT
• Applicable EU customs duties
• The EU’s €3-per-item low-value customs duty when applicable
• Postal or carrier handling fees
Any taxes, duties or customs/carrier charges not collected by Bitsy Friends during checkout are the responsibility of the recipient.
Your shipping charge will be shown before you complete your order.
🇷🇸 SERBIA
Yes — we’re shipping to Serbia! 🇷🇸🤍
This one has made me especially happy because I never imagined, when I first started sharing Bitsy Friends, that someone all the way in Serbia would be waiting to bring one home.
Serbia is outside the European Union and has its own import rules.
International orders entering Serbia may be subject to:
• Serbian VAT
• Customs duties, when applicable
• Postal/customs processing or handling charges
These charges are separate from the shipping price you pay Bitsy Friends.
Any VAT, duties, customs charges or carrier fees that are not collected during checkout are the responsibility of the recipient.
🇨🇭 SWITZERLAND
We’re working on Switzerland! 🇨🇭
Switzerland has its own VAT and customs system and is not part of the European Union.
We’re reviewing the requirements before opening checkout so that we can make sure we’re handling Swiss orders correctly.
Once Switzerland is officially available, this page will be updated with the shipping and import details you need before ordering.
🇫🇷 FRANCE + 🇩🇪 GERMANY
We’re working on these destinations too!
France and Germany are both part of the European Union, which means EU VAT, customs and product requirements apply.
Rather than opening every EU destination at once, I’m adding countries intentionally as I confirm that Bitsy Friends can meet all of the requirements for selling and shipping there.

A QUICK NOTE ABOUT EU ORDERS 🇪🇺
For our European friends, there are a few more moving pieces than simply paying international postage.
EU orders may be subject to:
VAT — Value Added Tax applicable in the destination country.
Customs duties — Depending on the order and current EU import rules.
€3 low-value customs duty — Beginning July 1, 2026, the EU introduced a temporary €3 customs duty per item on qualifying imported distance-sale goods in consignments of €150 or less.
Handling/clearance fees — A postal service or delivery carrier may charge its own fee for processing an international shipment through customs.
If Bitsy Friends collects a particular tax or charge from you during checkout, you should not pay that same charge to us again.
However, additional charges assessed by your country’s customs authority or delivery carrier that were not collected at checkout are the customer’s responsibility.

As we continue testing real Bitsy packages and expanding our shipping destinations, these rates may occasionally be adjusted to reflect actual postage costs.
HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE?
Every Bitsy order begins its journey from our little studio in Texas, USA.
International packages naturally take longer to arrive than domestic orders.
The delivery estimate shown at checkout is a shipping estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date.
International packages can occasionally be delayed by customs processing, holidays, weather or the destination country’s postal service.
Please allow extra time for your Bitsy to make the journey home!
TRACKING YOUR BITSY 📬
When your order ships, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information whenever tracking is available for the service selected.
International tracking can sometimes update less frequently while a package is moving between countries.
Don’t panic if your Bitsy seems to sit still for a few days — especially while traveling between the United States and your country’s customs system.
CUSTOMS, VAT, DUTIES + IMPORT FEES
Here’s the simplest way to think about international ordering:
Your shipping charge pays to transport your Bitsy to your country.
It does not necessarily include every tax, customs charge, tariff, duty or handling fee your country may assess.
Where Bitsy Friends is required to collect a particular tax at checkout, we’ll handle it accordingly.
Otherwise, any additional import taxes, VAT, customs duties, tariffs, postal fees, brokerage charges or carrier handling fees assessed after shipment are the responsibility of the customer.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to predict or guarantee exactly what another country’s customs authority may charge on an individual order.
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN
Bitsy Friends products are created and designed by me here in Texas, but not every Bitsy product is manufactured in the same place.
Our manufactured Bitsy Friends dolls and certain clothing/accessories are produced by our manufacturing partner in China.
Our handmade collections are made in the United States by me or participating Bitsy Makers, unless otherwise noted on the individual product listing.
Customs authorities may use a product’s actual country of origin when determining tariffs or duties.
That’s particularly important for our Canadian customers: something mailed from the United States is not automatically considered a U.S.-origin product for customs purposes.
